Studies show that students do much better in school when their parents are actively involved in their education.
We want to invite everyone to be part of the PTA, regardless of your child’s age, your language spoken, your time commitment or your personal beliefs. The PTA is for every parent, friend and teacher at our school and we really hope to see you at our meetings (free childcare provided), events, or in the classroom!
OUR GOALS FOR THE SCHOOL:
- To continue to build stronger bonds between our English and Spanish speaking families.
- To branch out and do more community projects and teach the children that there are ways to give back while having fun.
- To focus on raising funds to support the PTA sponsored programs: Music, Art, Library, Physical Education, School Directory, Field Trips, Character Development Programs, Classroom Supplies,Graduations and other special needs.
- To encourage all parents to volunteer some amount of time and/or resources toward the betterment of our children’s learning environment.
Annual Falcon Fund Drive Letters/Forms
2013-2014 ANNUAL FALCON FUND
The Venetia Valley Falcon Fund is the single biggest fundraising effort of the year. The public funding our school receives does not provide enough funds for many of Venetia Valley’s programs and needs. Last year’s Falcon Fund raised $27,000 with participation from over 20% of our families. Our expenses last year exceeded $50,000. The balance of the money was raised by fundraising events and grants. Without your support, we may be forced to eliminate valuable programs. We are asking every parent to help preserve these necessary programs that benefit every child at Venetia Valley. It is our goal to reach 100% participation from all Venetia Valley families and teachers,
It is very important that every family have an opportunity to participate in their child’s education. This year we have introduced different tiers of support – each one as reasonable as the cost of a daily cup coffee. Last year, families gave from $5 - $1000. We will accept monthly payments!
