Megan Sulsberger joined the Venetia Valley staff in 2011 as our new garden specialist.  Megan is working on her PHD concerning garden education and students' connection to our environment.  We are very excited to have her as part of our teacher community.

Our garden is a living laboratory of so many connections to the curriculum.  Teachers and students look forward to growing, measuring, writing, using the scientific method and being healthy in our garden.  The garden will also be opened during recess a couple times each week. 

K-5 Program

Each classroom, kindergarten through fifth grade, receives 1/2 hour of environmental science instruction each week.  This is fully funded by the Venetia Valley PTA. 

Middle School Program

Our middle school includes an elective with 2 hours each week of environmental garden support.  This is funded as part of the middle school electives offered at Venetia Valley.
